1984

  • Founded "Hitachi Tohoku Software, Ltd." (Zenjiro Yokota, President) (Capital: 50 Million JPY / 0.5 Million USD), as a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Hitachi Ltd.
  • ELaunched system engineering services in Northeastern (Tohoku) district of Japan

1986

  • Launched basic software and application software development
  • Launched system engineering services in Tokyo (Kanto) district

1987

  • Launched software development in the field of AI (Artificial Intelligence)
  • Launched overseas SE technical support activities outside Japan

1988

  • Established Tokyo Business Office

1989

  • Capital increased to 100 Million JPY (approximately 1.1 Million USD)
  • Launched software engineering services in Northeastern (Tohoku) district of Japan

1990

  • Launched sales business of information processing devices and equipments

1991

  • Launched R&D (Research and Development) activities
  • Established Aomori Systems Center

1994

  • Released "LoadCalc" (first original in-house software product)

1995

  • Launched original products and solution business targeting academic and educational fields
  • Released "InternetPost" (first internet-based software product)

1996

  • Launched product export and global deployment
  • Established the Morioka Systems Center

1997

  • Launched original products and solution business targeting financial sectors
  • Established Akita Systems Center
  • In-house product is certified as CSP (Complementary Software Program) of SAP/R3

1998

  • Released "idea-plus Series" (software product focusing on construction industry)
  • Exhibited original products and solution at SAPPHIRE'98, USA
  • Acquired ISO9001 Certification

1999

  • Hideyuki Ohtawa assumed the post as new president
  • Launched product import business (Demand Forecasting Support Software "ForecastPRO" provided by Business Forecast Systems, Inc., USA)

2000

  • Released "InterCompass" (integrated communication middleware in heterogeneous platforms) and launched new business field for science / technology area, as well as distributed computing area

2001

  • Capital increased to 300 Million JPY (approximately 3.3 Million USD)
  • Acquired ISO14001 Certification

2002

  • Obtained quality assessment rank of "B+" by the "Japan Quality Award" Council

2003

  • Changed corporate name to "Hitachi East Japan Solutions, Ltd."
  • Established Hokkaido Business Office
  • ISO9001:2000 Certification expanded to all areas of business
  • Established North Tohoku (North Northeastern) Business Office
  • Approval obtained from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation, for telecommunication construction works

2005

  • Osamu Chinone assumed the post as new president
  • Created and introduced new corporate logo, with participation of all employees in the 20th Anniversary project
  • "Positive-Action Organization Award" (an achievement for assisting good balance between family life and career) is officially commended by the Governor of Miyagi Prefecture
  • As part of social contribution activity, the "In-room Risk Analysis System" is disclosed to public on Web
  • Launched original products and solution business targeting tourism and service industry

2006

  • Released "SynViz/DP" (process management system for design / manufacturing industry)
  • As part of social contribution activity, the "Disaster Prevention Helping Net" is disclosed to public on Web
  • Presentation of "Hitachi-TO's Supply Chain Management Initiatives" at the Supply Chain Management Forum VI in Helsinki, Finland

2007

  • Shigeki Hishinuma assumed the post as new president

2009

  • Released packaged software corresponding to Current Value Accounting (CVA) " for financial institutions

2010

  • Released "SynViz/SD" (project management system for software / system development)
  • Released "SynViz/EP" (master scheduling system for interdepartmental adjustment)
  • Established "BA (Business Anaytics) Promotion Office"

2011

  • Hitachi TO became subsidary of Hitachi Solutions, Ltd
  • Established "Post-earthquake Reconstruction and Redevelopment Office"
  • Released "OnSchedule"(web-based collaboration service)

2012

  • Etsuro Mori assumed the post as new president
  • Launched AgriSUITE (agricultural supply-chain solution)
  • Changed corporate name to "Hitachi Solutions East Japan, Ltd." (a.k.a. HSE)
