Hitachi Solutions East Japan, Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "HSE") will follow the Japanese laws, guidelines, and other norms for the handling of personal information, as a corporate social responsibility (CSR). Hitachi Solutions East Japan will operate in order to win the customer's trust, and be continuously supported in the future.
HSE has prescribed the personal information protection policy to appropriately protect personal information entrusted to us, and has established a unique rule for protection/management and protection propulsion system involving the Personal Information Protection General Manager combined with the board member as head, for our activities. According to these efforts, HSE has been granted the Privacy Mark (February 2009 Certified, No.11820180(04)), which is granted to businesses certified as handling personal information in an appropriate way, by an accreditation organization (JIPDEC: Japan Information Processing Development Corporation ).
HSE TO will follow Japanese laws, guidelines, and other norms for the handling of personal information. Moreover, HSE will establish an independent rule and system also regarding the international trend, vowing to contribute to the sound development of an advanced information-telecommunication society. HSE proclaims to prescribe the personal information protection policy as follows, and continuously act upon it.
While carefully considering the solution business related to information systems operated as core business at each business establishment, HSE will handle such information appropriately by establishing a management system for personal information protection for each type of business, and by taking measures not to handle personal information exceeding the scope necessary to achieve the specified usage purpose, and also by following our rules for collecting, using or providing personal information.
HSE will follow the Japanese laws, guidelines and other norms for the handling of personal information. Also, HSE will conform our compliance program with personal information protection to such laws, guidelines and other norms.
To ensure the correctness and safety of personal information, in accordance with the rules for information security, HSE will implement various measures such as managing access to personal information, restricting the means for transporting personal information outside the company and preventing incorrect access from outside the company, and strive to prevent the leakage, loss or destruction of personal information. In addition, when any problems regarding safety measures are found, Hitachi Solutions East Japan will identify the cause to take corrective measures.
HSE will strive to take an appropriate and prompt response to complaints and consultation concerning the handling of personal information, while building the necessary system to achieve it. Based on respect toward a person's request for her/his personal information, when a person wants to request to disclose, correct, add, delete, stop usage, stop provision to a third party, or notify the purpose of usage of his/her personal information, HSE will also respond with an appropriate scope in the light of Japanese laws, and other conventional wisdom or customary practice,
HSE will make sure that executive staff and workers recognize the importance of personal information protection, and will establish Compliance Program for personal information protection to appropriately protect personal information and ensure it is put into execution, maintained, and improved continually.

Hitachi Solutions East Japan, Ltd. is granted the use of Privacy Mark, which is given by the Japan Information Processing Development Corporation (JIPDEC) to organizations that properly handle personal information.

In cases where the person requests notification of the purpose of use according to Article 24, Item 2 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereafter, the "Act") or requests disclosure according to Article 25, Item 1 of the Act, the person is required to pay a service charge of 800 yen per request, based on Article 30 of the Act.
